Since China introduced a visa relaxation in 2013 allowing citizens of 43 nations to travel without visa when transiting through Shanghai and Beijing for useful 144-hour and 72 hours, the scheme proved to be very popular and as a result the Chinese Government decided to expanded to other cities in and around Shanghai such as Hangzhou and Nanjing.

Fast forward to 2019 and the Chinese Government, relaxed visa requirements even further, covering cities such as Xian and Chongqing.

In order to receive this visa, visitors must be traveling onwards to a third country, which could include Hong Kong or Macau. For example, the UK citizen could fly to Chongqing on this visa, stay for up to six days, and then continue to Australia or New Zealand before returning home. But multiple stops in China are not allowed. Visitors cannot explore multiple Chinese cities on the G Visa.

This morning you will have the option of visiting the well-known Fengdu Ghost City. If you prefer to stay onboard, the onboard lectures of the Yangtze and the Three Gorges Dam Project besides other activities will be available for your morning entertainment. In the afternoon,Walking tour at Shibao Zhai Pagoda, a 12-story wooden pagoda which rests against the rock wall of mountain, where you can also climb up to the top for a panoramic view of the winding river, the village and the countryside is definitely a must see.

Day 3:

Shennv Stream (B,L,D)

This morning you will have the option of visiting the historical & cultural site of the White Emperor City. If you prefer to stay onboard, the onboard lectures of the Yangtze and the Three Gorges Dam Project besides other activities will be available for your afternoon entertainment. Returning back to your Century Ship your cruise will sail through the magnificent Qutang & Wu Gorges.

Day 4:

The Three Gorges Dam (B)

After an early breakfast, Disembark at Maoping pier of Yichang. Join the Shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam. (Exclude the golf car of CNY10/pp while tours.) Complete the trip by shuttle bus service from the Dam bus station to downtown of Yichang for your onward Journey around 13:00.
